Register read October 1, 2026
This finder shows what the U.S. government’s NPI register (NPPES) says, and nothing else: 360 orthodontists and orthodontic practices and 1,413 registered dental practices across 56 Ohio cities. Each orthodontist has a profile carrying their register record: address, phone, NPI, the license number the register shows and where to verify it at the Ohio State Dental Board.

All 56 are Ohio cities. The Ohio page has the statewide counts, what Ohio Medicaid pays, and the state license board.
Who does what
Teeth are straightened by two kinds of provider in Ohio, and the register can only tell you which is which, not who is good. Here is what each kind means on the city pages.
Orthodontist
A dentist with two to three years of further specialty training in moving teeth and aligning jaws: braces, clear aligners, retainers and growth guidance in children. The profile tier on every city page.
Orthodontic practice
An organization registered under the orthodontics taxonomy. An organization record says nothing about the individual providers working there; ask who would treat you and check their license.
General dentist
Most clear-aligner cases in Ohio are treated by general dentists, who can provide Invisalign and other systems after the maker’s training. The register cannot say which practices offer it, so they appear as a neutral table of every registered dental organization.
How this list works
Everything on this page comes from one source: the federal NPI register (NPPES), read on October 1, 2026. It lists every provider in the 56 Ohio cities this finder covers whose register address matches, alphabetically. No one can pay to be added, removed or reordered, and there are no ratings or reviews here, because we have not called or visited these practices.
Three caveats the register itself requires: an NPI number is not proof of an active license (verify one at the Ohio license lookup), addresses are self-reported and can be stale, and a listing says nothing about quality. If you are listed here and something is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove the entry against the register.
Before you call anyone

Metal, ceramic and lingual, with and without insurance.
Does Ohio Medicaid cover braces?

Ways to pay less for braces
The university clinics, the charitable programs for children, and what the lenders charge.
